Week 6 NFL Television Coverage and Announcers
The Patriots-Saints game will be available in all but a handful of states, which should be welcome news to out of town Pats fans that were forced to hit sports bars to watch a game they probably wished they had not seen. It will be the late game on FOX with Thom Brennaman and Troy Aikman calling the game; Brennaman temporarily replaces Joe Buck, who will be announcing a baseball playoff game.
Most of the country (including New England) gets the Packers-Ravens game as the preliminary game early on FOX. CBS has a rather paltry choice of games this week, with the winless Steelers at the Jets being their primary game that merits their top broadcasting crew.
One other programming note: the PBS Frontline documentary League of Denial: The NFL’s Concussion Crisis premieres Tuesday night at 10:00 pm ET.
